作品創作理念：

傳統戲曲中一切動作都是象徵性的、美化的，飾演女性人物其基本動作之一便是「臥雲」。(臥雲，為上身轉動時，下身不動，使兩腿成交叉狀合在一起慢慢坐下的戲曲功夫。)

「在舞臺上不會老系列---臥雲」人物造型也因此而來，繪畫中主要表現戲劇人無論是台上或台下自然浮現的各種戲劇姿態；演員的頭飾與臉部裝扮，是長期演出的歷練內化成為生命的一部分，脫卻衣物，無論是身在舞台上抑或是舞台下的生活百態，似乎都如在舞台上一樣都是戲，並超脫年紀，身心永不衰老，呈現出戲劇人物生活中的百樣情趣。

In traditional Chinese opera every action is symbolic and artistic. One of the basic movements to depict a female character is “Crouching Cloud”. (This is a movement in which one would turn her upper body while keeping the lower body fixed so that both legs would cross and then sits down slowly.)

“Crouching Cloud” of “Immortal Stage” series derives its style from such concept. The painting illustrates that it is natural for a Chinese opera performer to display different dramatic movements whether on stage or not. The headdress and the makeup symbolize the years of experience that has become a part of life. Without any clothes on, the actress lives the drama on or off stage. She has transcended the age barrier, keeping both body and mind immortal, exhibiting the different lives of many characters.
